I Go to the Vet (But I am O.K.)

Not to worry, I am OK. But I had to go for a Bunch of Things.

I was very excited yesterday when mom put on the leash and took me out the back door. (That is Unusual. It usually means a ride! Yay!)

At first I think it is Just a Ride in the Car.

But, uh-oh. It's the Vet!!!
Our Vet's name is the Shabazz-Man. He takes care of me and the six cats. Mom and dad go to a different Vet.

I love Cassandra. She helps out the Shabazz-Man. She is always smiling and is a Major Dog Acceptor.

Here is the Shabazz-Man getting ready to stick a Big Needle in me. You can't see my face but I am Scared.

Why is the Shabazz-Man so happy? I am not happy.

Thye have to put the muzzle on me at this point because I Start Misbehaving.

Besides the Shots I also got my drewclaws clipped and Things Looked At and Listened To. That part was Not So Bad. (oh, mom says it is Dew Claws)

The Bad Part is over and now I am waiting for mom to pay and to get Paperwork that says I can go to the Dog Trainer and Doggie DayCare without any problems. Mom says that based on how good I was at the Blessing that it Might Be OK for me to interact more with other dogs. Dad is not so sure. (What does "In a pig's Eye" mean??)

This dog was Next Door to the Vet. Her name is Roxie. She has a Koi Pond. (That means fish.)

Then we went home again.

At the moment, I Feel Traumatized. But now I am Better...

You are a very brave dog Grendel. I hope you feel real proud of yourself. I bet your guardians are proud of you too. Yea Grendel!

I liked all your pictured a lot. You are a real swell looking dog and you have one of those sweet ears that flops over, just like my friend Scout. My guardian just about goes ga-ga over that. My ears stand straight up... alas, even a handsome dog like me can't have everything.

Have a fun day!

Love,

Rowan

I love my vet too, Grendel!

Even though she sometimes sticks that thing up my butt to make sure I don't have worms. Yuck.

My mom takes me a lot of places but I do not like to ride in the car. At all. Even to do fun stuff.

My mom has to give me medicine every day because I barf and drool all over everything if she doesn't.

This makes her sad---but she gives me the medicine in a liver treat, so it's okay by me!

Hope you feel better today.

Your friend,
Jasper

Rowan, why are non-sticky-uppy ears better than the sticky-uppy kind? I like your ears. They show your joy.

Jasper,

I don't Mind the Car except when we Go Slow. Then I whine.

I also hate it when the Shabazz-Man sticks things up my butt. It doesn't Seem Right.

Do you have to take the medicine because you Have a Condition?

Sneakaround Jones the Cat Has a Condition. It makes mom sad because Sneakaround Jones is Not Getting Better.

I try to lick him a lot to make him Feel Better.

Grendel,
I don't like the et-vay either. It smells like lots of og-days and cats I don't know. And I don't like being stuck and poked where the sun don't shine.

I call that place "The Little Shop of Horrors."
