Grendel, dear---maybe if you cut down on the coffee, you won't be so grouchy. ;-)

I want to hear all about your release from House of the Rat Dogs.

And I need your advice. I am going to have to take two long trips this summer---and Jasper can't go. (I am going to England, where they do not allow any Foreign Dogs. Silly gits...)

What do you advise me to do with Jasper?

Love you,
Doxy

I know about the Foreign Dog Part. Mom and Dad went to Ireland and they Did Not Take me.

But I think the Very Best Thing is to find a Major Dog Acceptor who will live in the same house (your house) and take care of Jasper--if not, someone who Accepts Dogs to let Jasper come live with them while you are gone. (Maybe you can trade favors with another Dog Acceptor?)

Mom finds Starving Students to do this. It is better than a Kennel, which can be very Lonely and not Like a Home, more like a Boot Camp.

That was how I ended up at the House of the RatDogs. Which was Not So Bad and Not at All Lonely. (But I Pretended it Was Bad.)

They will go away to Ireland again this year and the Big Scary Graduate Student will stay with me. (He is not really scary, just Big Like a Bear). He likes Bob Dylan.

I agree with Grendel, and so does Scout. We want to know -- how did you get those ingredients! that's fantastic!

We have Major Dog Acceptors come live with us, too. They're so good we hardly notice that The Alpha and The Typist are gone.

Oh, and Grendel, you won an award over at my blog! Go see!

Gravy- could it be any other way?

I love learning more about you dear Grendel!

You can take Cousin Jasper to the UK now, Doxy (how's he doing, by the way?) just so that his shots are up to date and properly certified. The six month quarantine law was changed quite recently. Check with the appropriate British Consulate - Atlanta or Washington - don't know which of the two is appropriate for NC.

Gravy.
I don't know.
Is that like chikken juice? If so, then I like gravy too.
